Terms of Service
Last updated: December 11, 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pantry Persona, including our website, web app, integrations inside ChatGPT and other Model Context Protocol (MCP)–compatible clients, and any other services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
"Pantry Persona," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Zen Design & Solutions, LLC. "You" refers to the individual using the Service, or the entity on whose behalf you are using the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
1. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if:
- you are at least 13 years old; and
- you are capable of forming a binding contract with us under applicable law.
If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or an entity, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf and that they agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are under the age at which you can legally consent to online services in your country or region, you should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Description of the Service
Pantry Persona helps you:
- track pantry items, recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists;
- manage household food preferences and reduce waste;
- use AI-powered features to generate suggestions and automations;
- in some cases, connect to third-party grocery and delivery platforms to build carts or shoppable lists;
- access your data from supported MCP-compatible hosts such as ChatGPT.
We may update, improve, or change features of the Service from time to time. We may also discontinue or limit certain features, integrations, or services. If we make changes that materially impact your use of the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.
3. Accounts and Security
To use some parts of the Service, you must create an account or connect through a supported host or identity provider.
You agree to:
- provide accurate and complete registration information;
- keep your login credentials confidential and secure;
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it, unless we have failed to take reasonable precautions to secure the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that your use of the Service may harm us, the Service, or other users.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
We may offer both free and paid tiers of the Service.
4.1 Fees and Payment
If you purchase a paid subscription or other paid feature:
- you agree to pay all applicable fees in the currency and on the terms presented at the time of purchase;
- payments may be processed by app stores, payment processors, or other billing providers;
- you authorise us and our payment providers to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription term and any renewals.
You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchases, except where we are required to collect them.
4.2 Renewals and Cancellations
Paid subscriptions generally renew automatically at the end of each billing period, unless you cancel before renewal or we notify you otherwise.
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the method you used to subscribe (for example, an app store account or our billing portal). If you cancel, you will continue to have access to the paid features through the end of your current billing period, unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
4.3 Refunds
Except where we state otherwise at the time of purchase or where required by law, fees are non-refundable. If we advertise a money-back guarantee or free trial for a specific offer, the applicable terms will be described at the point of purchase.
5. User Content and License
"User Content" means any data, information, text, images, or other materials you enter, upload, or generate in the Service, including pantry items, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, household profiles, and other content tied to your account.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and process your User Content as reasonably necessary to:
- operate and provide the Service;
- personalise your experience;
- maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Service;
- improve and develop the Service, including creating aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified data that does not identify you.
We do not claim ownership of your recipes or other creative content. You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any law or infringe any third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service:
- for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose;
- to harass, threaten, or harm others;
- to upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code;
- to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts;
- to interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service;
- to copy, scrape, or harvest the Service or its data in a manner that violates these Terms or applicable law;
- to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Service, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law;
- to resell, rent, lease, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone offering without our prior written consent.
We may investigate violations of this section and may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe a violation has occurred.
7. Ownership of the Service
The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), and all associated intellectual property rights, are owned by us or our licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use (or, where applicable, for internal use within the organisation you represent), subject to these Terms.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, we and our licensors reserve all rights in and to the Service.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or integrate with third-party services and platforms, including:
- payment processors;
- cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;
- authentication and identity providers;
- analytics and logging providers;
- AI and machine learning providers;
- app stores and distribution platforms;
- grocery and delivery platforms;
- MCP-compatible hosts such as ChatGPT.
These third-party services are not controlled by us and may have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services is subject to their terms, not ours.
We are not responsible for:
- the content, functionality, or availability of third-party services;
- any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party services;
- any contract or transaction you enter into with third parties.
9. Grocery and Delivery Integrations
Pantry Persona may allow you to send shopping lists or recipe ingredients to third-party grocery or delivery platforms to create or update a cart or shoppable list.
When you use these features:
- we send only the information needed to create or update the cart or list (such as item names, quantities, product identifiers where available, and store or location selections);
- we may receive limited information back, such as a cart or list identifier, a link, or status information;
- any resulting order, payment, delivery, or dispute is solely between you and the grocery or delivery platform.
We do not control:
- product availability, pricing, substitutions, or promotions;
- delivery times, delivery quality, or service guarantees;
- the safety, quality, or suitability of items you purchase.
We are not responsible for any issues arising from your orders with third-party grocery or delivery platforms.
10. MCP and AI Host Integrations
Pantry Persona can be accessed through MCP-compatible hosts such as ChatGPT.
When you use Pantry Persona through an AI host:
- the host manages your conversation, identity, and interface;
- the host may send Pantry Persona structured tool requests that include your instructions and relevant context;
- Pantry Persona processes those requests, interacts with your Pantry Persona data as needed, and returns structured results to the host.
We do not see your entire conversation with the host, only the information included in tool calls. The host processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy.
You are responsible for understanding and complying with the terms and policies of any host or platform you use to access Pantry Persona.
11. Feedback
If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service ("Feedback"), you agree that we may use the Feedback without restriction and without any obligation to compensate you. Feedback is not confidential.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account via the Service where that option is available, or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or any part of it, if:
- you breach these Terms or any applicable law;
- we reasonably believe your use of the Service may harm us, the Service, or other users;
- we decide to discontinue the Service, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice where practicable.
Upon termination or suspension:
- your right to use the Service will cease;
- we may disable or delete your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
- certain provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions) will continue to apply.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- any data, insights, recommendations, or outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation;
- defects will be corrected.
Any recipes, nutritional information, or suggestions provided through the Service are for informational purposes only. They are not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. You are responsible for your own dietary choices and for checking ingredients for allergies, intolerances, and other health concerns.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. In such cases, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by the laws of your jurisdiction.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we and our affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your statutory rights as a consumer, where they cannot be limited or excluded, remain unaffected.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pantry Persona, Zen Design & Solutions, LLC, and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- your use of the Service;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of any law or third-party rights;
- your User Content.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.
16. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time.
When we change these Terms:
- we will update the "Last updated" date at the top;
- if the changes are material, we may provide additional notice, such as by email, a notice within the Service, or notice via a host platform.
If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable law to receive notice or to reject changes.
17. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent.
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, without notice to you, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
18. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA, and you and we submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring claims in another venue.
Nothing in these Terms affects any non-waivable statutory rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
19. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented to you for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
